MCG +09-13-060 – nearby QSO

MCG +09-13-060 was included in the sample of galaxies having a nearby QSO by Burbidge (1996). The QSO near MCG +09-13-060 has quite low redshift for a QSO (z = 0.174) and it is classified as galaxy in NED.

Notes

– The position of the QSO (object 2 in Figure 1) seems to be quite close to the minor axis of MCG +09-13-060 (object 1).

– In addition to the QSO, there are only two other objects within 10 arcmin from MCG +09-13-060 that have measured redshifts. Those two objects are galaxies at radial velocities of about 11000 and 10000 km/s, and their angular separations from MCG +09-13-060 are about 6.9 and 8.2 arcmin, respectively.
